Each record listed is visually graded with a code that looks like VG/NM. What that stands for is: VG -the first grade is for the recording (disc) while the second one (in this case NM) is for the jacket or sleeve,
Standards for grading the Record:
REMEMBER - ALL OUR RECORDS ARE VISUALLY GRADED - OLD LPS EVEN IN MINT - CONDITION WILL PROBABLY HAVE CLICKS AND POPS - THESE ARE RECORDS AFTER ALL- AND NOT CDS!
CODES:
SS - Still Sealed - A factory sealed lp, never opened or played
M Mint - We will hardly ever use this term, as we don't believe a record can be "perfect"
M- Mint Minus - This record is in such good shape we can't tell if it's ever been played -no spindle marks, clean as a freshly unsealed lp.
NM Near Mint - This is a record that looks brand new, although it may have been played a few times - it may show minor spindle marks on the label, but no more wear should be seen. No visible scratches or problems and show full vinyl gloss.
VG+ Very Good, plus - this is a record that has been played. It should have show very little wear, have perhaps light scratches, but nothing major. It should play well and be an enjoyable listening experience
VG Very Good - A record that has been played a lot, but carefully handled, it may have a few scratches and a minor defect or two. It should still play well and be enjoyable.
VG- Very Good Minus - Record will have several flaws or scratches, plays with surface noise, but doesn't overwhelm the sound.
G Good - A record that's been played and abused - noisy, scratchy, but it still plays and you can still hear the music.
G- Good minus - Great for candy dishes and skeet shooting, at least you can say you have this record (But why????)
Standards for grading the Jacket:
NA Does Not Apply - This record does not have a printed jacket, comes with a generic sleeve.
M- Mint Minus - a like new cover, picture clear, no defects noted
NM -Near Mint - Cover is clean, barely noticeable flaws, white areas may have some yellowing
VG Very Good - Shows minor wear. Art is still full but show age discoloration and some fading.
VG- Very Good Minus - Shows moderate wear. Writing, tears, stains may show.
G Good - shows heavy wear. Heavy ringwear and major problems evident.
